The Lawrence Public Library Foundation will hold its annual themed basket fundraiser Friday until Nov. 8 in the Lawrence Public Library lobby, 707 Vermont St.

There will be 20 baskets, donated by local business and library supporters, with contents worth $100 or more. A $2 donation buys a chance to win one of the baskets.

Notable baskets include:

• One filled with $180 worth of gift certificates to Pachamamas, The Eldridge and other downtown restaurants.

• A basket filled with kitchen supplies.

• A basket filled with Legos.

The drawings for the baskets will be Nov. 9 at Liberty Hall, 644 Massachusetts St., during the After Hours at the Library benefit.

The baskets will be on display at the Lawrence Public Library or online at lawrencepubliclibraryfoundation.org.

I would hope that efforts are being made for branch libraries!! It is not satisfactory to have one library for a town of Lawrence's size.
