A Kansas University crime alert was sent out at 10:15 p.m. Monday after a female student reported that a man with a gun stole her cellphone and iPod.
According to the alert, the student said she was swinging about 8 p.m. on the swing set between Irving Hill Road and Stouffer Place Apartments when a black man approached her. He displayed the gun, demanded her property and then left the area.
Anyone with information about the crime should contact the KU Public Safety Office at 864-5900.

Robbery happened at around 8pm. KU sent the alert at around 10:15.
