A 44-year-old Lawrence woman was arrested on an aggravated battery charge early Monday after she was accused of cutting a man’s hand with a steak knife during a domestic disturbance in the 2500 block of Redbud Lane.
Sgt. Trent McKinley, a Lawrence police spokesman, said paramedics treated the victim at the scene before 1 a.m., but he declined to go to the hospital for further treatment. Douglas County prosecutors filed an aggravated battery charge against Marjorie Anne Freeman, and a judge set her bond at $15,000.

If he married her then she can keep the name until she dies if she chooses to. The law data she can. I don't know the woman but her name appears to be the least of her problems.
