A 23-year-old Lawrence man pleaded no contest Friday to one count of attempting to elude a police officer as part of a February chase that began in the 2200 block of Vermont Street.

Justin W. Kraai entered the plea in front of District Judge Michael Malone. He’s scheduled to be sentenced May 10. Police in February said Kraai attempted to elude an officer the afternoon of Feb. 8, and he was later arrested in the 1800 block of Maple Drive.
