Bounsouay Khanya, a 21-year-old Lawrence resident facing several drug charges in connection with a Dec. 28 arrest, had the court enter a plea of not guilty in a hearing Tuesday after his attorney asked the court to schedule a competency hearing in the case, according to a spokeswoman for the Douglas County District Attorney.
