A man accused of kidnapping a woman in Ottawa in May has been arrested in Wellington south of Wichita, Ottawa police said Tuesday.
Capt. Adam Weingartner, an Ottawa police spokesman, said that on Sunday evening police in Wellington arrested Jordan J.A. Henson, 26, on a kidnapping warrant in the Franklin County case. Police in May asked for the public’s help in finding Henson after they said he took a 32-year-old woman from her Ottawa residence in the 600 block of South Walnut Street during a domestic incident.
“A patrol sergeant following up on information received that day made contact with Henson by telephone and arranged to meet the suspect in Wellington,” Weingartner said.
Wellington police assisted Ottawa officers with the arrest, which was made without incident. He’s being held in the Franklin County jail on $250,000 bond, police said.
Hours after the May 5 incident, the woman escaped from her captor in Emporia. Days later, officers in Morris County also recovered the vehicle that he allegedly stole from the woman in Ottawa.

I am from Ottawa. Lived here all my life. There has been a lot of henious crime here but it's not only Ottawa people that participate in it. It's Lawrence & Topeka people involved also. As I'm sure the crime that happens in Topeka probably involves people from Lawrence & Ottawa. As I'm sure the crime in Lawrence involves people from Topeka & Ottawa. ? is what do we do to stop it?

That's the question mankind has been asking since Cain and Able. I think it's a species problem.
