Broadway at Baker students performing ‘All Shook Up’

Students in the Broadway at Baker summer camp and the Music Theatre for Young People at Baker University want audience members to be ready to rock and roll for their rendition of “All Shook Up” at 2:30 p.m. July 29 at Baker University Rice Auditorium in Baldwin City.

“All Shook Up” will feature choreography and music inspired by Elvis Presley including his classic songs “Heartbreak Hotel” and “Jailhouse Rock.”

“It’s a great way to come in from the heat and enjoy some wonderful choreography and music,” says Trilla Lyerla, Baker University chair of the department of music and theatre.

Broadway at Baker is a camp for 13- to 18-year-old musicians who go to the Baker campus and put together the musical in one week.

Music Theatre for Young People founding director Cary Danielson Pandzik runs the camp and will direct the production.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for seniors and children ages 12 and under. They can be purchased at the door or by calling (785) 594-8478.
