Lawrence police Tuesday morning began investigating burglaries and damage to several vehicles at a lot in North Lawrence.
Sgt. Trent McKinley, a police spokesman, said officers were called at 8:05 a.m. Tuesday to the 900 block of North Third Street. A fiber-optic splicer valued at several thousand dollars was stolen from an unsecured Knology cable vehicle, McKinley said, and suspects entered some other vehicles by force.
