A 20-year-old Lawrence man was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital after a two-vehicle accident near 19th and Iowa streets Tuesday afternoon.

Kim Murphree, a Lawrence police spokeswoman, said a woman driving a Chrysler Concorde had stopped in a northbound lane on Iowa Street. A 35-year-old Lawrence man driving a Nissan Maxima had struck the Chrysler from behind, and that Maxima driver was cited for having an expired driver’s license, no insurance and following too closely, Murphree said. The 20-year-old Lawrence man’s injuries were not life-threatening, and he was a passenger in the Chrysler.
