Leavenworth man enters plea in domestic disturbance

A 41-year-old Leavenworth man entered a plea to two misdemeanor charges Thursday for his involvement in connection with a Lawrence domestic disturbance last April.

Shane L. Maxwell entered the pleas to misdemeanor battery and misdemeanor intimidation of a witness, his attorney Greg Robinson said. He had originally faced aggravated battery charge. He was accused of injuring a woman during an altercation April 25 in the 2500 block of Morningside Court. District Judge Michael Malone is scheduled to sentence Maxwell March 2.
