A 41-year-old rural Baldwin City woman was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital on Friday afternoon after she crashed a 1996 Saturn car in the 600 section of East 1850 Road, said Sgt. Steve Lewis, a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office spokesman.

Lewis said Stephanie Alderson lost control of her vehicle on a hill in loose gravel about 3 p.m. Friday, and the vehicle rolled over into a ditch. She was wearing her seat belt.
