Accident report

• A 10-year-old Lawrence girl was injured while swimming at Clinton Lake on Friday night.

“She was in the water next to a boat and she may have been hit by the boat’s propeller,” said Sgt. Steve Lewis.

The impact produced life-threatening lacerations on the girl’s legs. Life Flight flew her to KU Medical Center at 7 p.m. The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation.
