Douglas County Sheriff’s officials identified a 22-year-old Lawrence man as the driver injured Saturday evening in a one-vehicle crash near Clinton Lake.

Sgt. Steve Lewis, a sheriff’s spokesman, said Cody Bruce was headed south on North 1150 Road at 6:20 p.m. when he lost control on a curve and eventually rolled into a ditch in the 2007 Chevrolet pickup truck he was driving. Bruce was flown to Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., via LifeStar helicopter ambulance.

Tests are being performed to determine whether alcohol was a contributing factor.
