A 20-year-old male Kansas University student alleged about 2 a.m. Thursday he was struck by a vehicle near 19th Street and Barker Avenue, said Sgt. Trent McKinley, a Lawrence police spokesman. The man had a scrape and open wound to his left arm.
The man, who was intoxicated, was not cooperative with officers, McKinley said. He did not provide a description of a vehicle other than that it drove to the east. The man was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital via ambulance and later released.
