Kansas City woman injured in Tuesday morning accident on K-7

A 35-year-old Kansas City, Kan., woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday on Kansas Highway 7 near Interstate 70, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

According to an accident report, the woman at 7:47 a.m. had slowed her southbound 2007 Chevrolet Impala for traffic in the area when the sport utility vehicle was rear-ended by a 2001 Peterbilt semitrailer, driven by a 46-year-old Tonganoxie man.

The woman, Jannetta M. Durrah, was taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center, and the truck’s driver, Terry L. Helmert, was not injured. Both wore their seat belts.
