16-year-old from Perry taken to hospital after rear-ending vehicle Monday

A 16-year-old Perry girl was taken to a Topeka hospital Monday afternoon after she rear-ended another vehicle on U.S. Highway 24 east of Perry, according to a Jefferson County Sheriff’s report.

The girl, Emma Taylor, about 3:15 p.m. Monday failed to stop her 2003 Red Toyota Sol behind a 2006 Honda CRV driven by Linda Tate, 54, of Lawrence. Tate had stopped and was properly signaling a left turn, the report said. Taylor was taken to Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka.
