Timothy W. Craddick, a 48-year-old Lawrence man, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault folllwing a Sunday evening incident in Lawrence.

Police went to the 100 block of Maple Street just before 8:45 p.m. Sunday after two Lawrence residents, a 53-year-old woman and a 12-year-old girl, alleged Craddick pointed a gun at them and threatened them after they petted his dog after it approached them while they were walking, according to Lawrence Police Sgt. Matt Sarna.

Police contacted Craddick walking in the area later and arrested him after recovering an air rifle, Sarna said.
