Man charged in burglary of Tobacco Mart

A 20-year-old man awaiting sentencing for a Eudora burglary case was charged Wednesday with participating in a Tuesday burglary of Tobacco Mart, 1420 W. 23rd St. Jessica Dotter, a Douglas County legal intern, said in court Wednesday that Joseph Klebenstein was charged with burglary, theft and criminal damage because a glass door was broken at the business. Klebenstein in November pleaded no contest to burglary of a motor vehicle and two counts of theft connected to July burglaries in Eudora. Two other co-defendants have cases pending in the Eudora case.

Douglas County prosecutors also charged Brandon Tyler Rothwell, 19, of Lawrence, with burglary, theft and criminal damage in connection with Tuesday’s Tobacco Mart burglary.
