Woman pleads guilty in homicide near Topeka high school
Topeka ? A Topeka woman admits that she was involved in the shooting death of a teenager on the Topeka West High School campus during a drug deal.
Twenty-year-old Samantha Hochard pleaded guilty Tuesday to soliciting murder and aggravated battery.
Two Topeka men are charged with first-degree murder in the October 2010 death of 20-year-old Matthew C. Mitchell. A 17-year-old friend of Mitchell’s was seriously injured.
The Topeka Capital-Journal reports that Hochard will be sentenced Sept. 9.
Prosecutors say the shooting happened during a marijuana deal.
