Lawrence police are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery reported just after midnight Sunday.

According to Lawrence police Sgt. Damon Thomas, the incident occurred about 12:18 a.m. at Shop N Go, 1000 West 23rd St.

The suspect was described as a white man, 6 foot 2 inches tall, wearing a black hat and dark-colored jacket. The suspect was reportedly armed with a handgun. He was last seen running from the area toward Iowa Street.

Thomas said an undetermined amount of cash was taken during the incident. No injuries have been reported.
