Nebraska kidnapping suspect facing Kansas charge

? A Keith County man suspected of kidnapping, sexual assault and other crimes in Nebraska has been arrested in Kansas.

Salina Police Capt. Mike Sweeney says 20-year-old Jade Cleveland, of Keystone, Neb., was arrested on a robbery charge. According to Ogallala radio station KOGA, Cleveland had a pellet gun with him.

The Nebraska State Patrol says Cleveland abducted a 17-year-old Ogallala girl from her home at knifepoint in October and assaulted her in rural Keith County.

He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

It’s unclear when Cleveland will be returned to face trial in Nebraska.
