A 26-year-old Lawrence man was arrested Saturday morning on suspicion of rape. The suspect was arrested on the 100 block of E. 11th Street shortly before 6 a.m., according to Douglas County Sheriff’s Office records. He is being held without bond. The Journal-World typically does not identify suspects in sex crimes unless they are convicted.
