KU police looking for person who set minor fire at Oliver Hall

Kansas University Public Safety officers said someone tried to set a banner on fire late Sunday night at Oliver Residence Hall, 1815 Naismith Drive.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying who attempted to set the fire on the seventh floor’s north wing between 11 p.m. Sunday at 12:20 a.m. Monday.

Capt. Schuyler Bailey, a KU Public Safety spokesman, said the banner was the only thing damaged.

He asked anyone with information to call officers, 785-864-5900, or leave an anonymous tip at KU Crime Stoppers, 785-864-8888.
