Manhattan ? The president of Kansas State University is one of four university representatives visiting troops in Iraq.

The small delegation left Manhattan Sunday for Basra, Iraq. They’ll visit members of the 1st Infantry Division before returning home Friday.

KMAN reports that President Kirk Schulz is joined on the trip by Military Affairs Director Art DeGroat, Vice President Jeff Morris and Virginia Moxley, dean of human ecology.

DeGroat says the mission will help the delegation see how soldiers live and survive on long deployments.
