Emergency crews attend to an accident victim Saturday morning around 8 a.m. at the intersection of Ninth and Kentucky streets.

One person was transported to the Lawrence Memorial Hospital following an early morning automobile accident at the intersection of Ninth and Kentucky streets, according to Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical Battalion Chief James King.

Emergency crews responded shortly before 8 a.m. to an accident involving two northbound vehicles — a 4-door Honda Civic and a pickup truck.

Traffic was restricted to one lane near the intersection following the accident.
