Teen idol Justin Bieber vs. glass door
Berlin — Teen idol Justin Bieber walked smack into the glass of an automatic revolving door when trying to exit a German hotel, sending his fans into a blogging frenzy.
“Ouch! I just walked into that door … my forehead hurts … I walked right into the window,” Bieber told a local broadcast team that captured the incident on camera as he was exiting the Radisson Blu hotel in Frankfurt.
Bieber can be seen in the video trying to push the automatic door, then turning to walk out, but instead smacking his forehead against the glass.
Attorney denies Knight threatened man
Los Angeles — An attorney for Marion “Suge” Knight is denying allegations that the former rap mogul pulled a gun on a man in South Los Angeles.
Knight was arrested in suburban Gardena on Thursday. Police say his Cadillac Escalade was stopped after a man claimed Knight pointed a gun at him.
Knight was booked for assault with a deadly weapon and on a warrant claiming he drove with a suspended license. He was released on $65,000 bail the same day.
Knight’s attorney, Marc Brumer, denied Friday that a confrontation ever happened. He says Knight pulled into a gas station and was surrounded by a crowd of admirers but drove off quickly without leaving the vehicle. He says Knight didn’t have a gun.
No charges have been filed.
Michaels has outpatient care after stroke
Los Angeles — Bret Michaels is receiving outpatient care after being hospitalized for what doctors called a warning stroke.
His publicist, Joann Mignano, gave no other details Friday in an e-mail to The Associated Press.
Mignano previously confirmed Michaels had been diagnosed with a patent foramen ovale, or hole in the heart.
Doctors said the condition is operable and treatable and likely unrelated to the brain hemorrhage he suffered last month.
The 47-year-old, rocker-TV reality star was hospitalized this week after experiencing numbness on the left side of his body, particularly in his face and hands.
$20 to see ‘Shrek’ on IMAX is a lot of green
New York — A few theaters seemed to flirt with the idea of raising the adult ticket price to $20 to the IMAX 3-D family movie “Shrek Forever After,” opening this weekend.
Four AMC theaters in Manhattan bumped the box office price to $20, but three quickly dropped the price on Friday. Two were charging $17 and two were selling tickets for $19.
AMC Theatres spokesman Justin Scott attributed the price hike to an error.
“Unfortunately, a limited number of theaters posted incorrect pricing for “Shrek Forever After,” which we immediately corrected,” he said. “Any guest who purchased a ticket at the incorrect price can visit Guest Services for a refund.”
The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that the four theaters had listed the $20 price for the IMAX showing of “Shrek” on Wednesday.
