A St. Patrick’s Day saturation patrol Wednesday night conducted by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department netted one arrest for DUI, sheriff’s Sgt. Steve Lewis said.

He said officers on their regular patrols made two other DUI arrests Wednesday evening.

Totals for other citations and offenses related to the saturation patrol had not been tallied as of Thursday afternoon, Lewis said.

What a waste of a saturation patrol ... you nabbed a whole three!
And I doubt it's just because there was a "saturation patrol" to begin with.
I called in 4 on my drive home from KC to Lawrence on K10.

Or perhaps folks knew there were patrols and got designated drivers or stayed home. Most of the St Pats hoopla is over by 4 pm . Probably one of those things you should be thankful for.
