• Leavenworth Jefferson Electric Cooperative will conduct an open board meeting at 5 p.m. March 23 at the McLouth High School theater auditorium. The meeting will be for open discussion and a board vote on proposed rate changes.

• The Stock Market Game, instructed by Dennis Mattern, is a computer assisted classroom simulation of Wall Street trading that involves participants in the investment of $100,000 in imaginary money over an eight-week period. Games are free and will be played from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursdays, March 11 through April 3, at the Lawrence Senior Center, 745 Vt.

• Fidelity Investments senior vice president John Phillips will present “Investment Outlook and Actionable Ideas,” from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. March 25 at Alvamar Country Club. • The Tonganoxie School District was presented the Trane Energy Efficiency Leader in Education Award on Wednesday at a school assembly in Tonganoxie Middle School. Trane contracted with the district for a $2.1 million energy and infrastructure improvement project that’s expected to save $217,000 annually in operations, maintenance and utility costs.
