Live updates: School board set to meet again to make more budget cuts

After making $3.2 million in school program and administrative cuts Monday night, Lawrence school board members will be back in session at 7 p.m. Tuesday to discuss two more controversial budget cuts.

Board members will discuss closing elementary schools and raising the student-teacher ratio as ways to get to $5 million in savings before next school year.

After the board discussion, members of the public will be able to comment. Each speaker is allowed three minutes. The board will vote on budget cuts after the public weighs in.

The meeting will air live on Sunflower Broadband channel 26.
