A 20-year-old Lawrence man was arrested Saturday night on charges of aggravated assault and battery. According to Lawrence Police Sgt. Dave Hubbel, the man and his girlfriend got into a fight in the 1700 block of Prestwick Circle. The fight got violent and the man allegedly choked his girlfriend. The girlfriend, a 19-year-old Lawrence woman, was also arrested on charges of domestic battery.
