Two taken to hospital after Thursday morning accident

Two people were transported to area hospitals Thursday morning after being involved in an accident on Kansas Highway 10, two miles east of Eudora.

According to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, a pickup truck driven by a 20-year-old Overland Park man was headed eastbound on K-10 in heavy rain when the vehicle hydroplaned. The truck crossed the center median and struck an SUV driven by a 20-year-old Lawrence woman. Both were transported by ambulance to area hospitals about 11:25 a.m.

Christopher Clark was transported to Overland Park Regional Medical Center, where a condition update was not available Thursday night.

Sarah Craft was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released.

Both drivers were reported to have been wearing their seatbelts.
