Central and West junior high schools claimed the second and third place trophies, respectively, in the K-8 section of the Rockhurst High School Chess Tournament Jan. 16 in Kansas City, Mo. Central’s Eddie Wilson was the individual champion in K-8.

Lindsay Wiseman announces the birth of her daughter, Bristol Leeann Wiseman, on Dec. 20, 2009, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
Bristol’s grandparents are Tom and Lorrie Wiseman, Lawrence; her great-grandparents are Lowell and Caroll Eye, and Margie Wiseman, all of Lawrence.

Holly Trotter Neber was appointed president of AEI Consultants, a national environmental and engineering consulting firm with headquarters in Walnut Creek, Calif. Neber is the daughter of Judy and Michael Carman, Lecompton, and Darby and Barbara Trotter, Overland Park.
