Two people — a 27-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man, both of Lawrence — were arrested late Friday on charges including aggravated assault and domestic battery.

Neither suspect was injured seriously in the incident, which occurred at about 11:13 p.m. at an apartment in the 900 block of Massachusetts. According to Lawrence Police Sgt. Ted Bordman, both people suffered scratches and minor contusions. Police arrested the suspects on aggravated assault charges because each claimed the other made threats with a weapon. No further details were provided on what sort of weapon was allegedly involved.

The woman was also arrested on drug possession charges. Neither person was transported to the hospital.
