Lawrence High School has advanced to the finals of the academic Quest competition, a contest between high school teams testing knowledge on topics such as art, literature, history, math and science.
Lawrence High is one of 16 Kansas high schools making it to the finals following the Dec. 5 Quest competition at Washburn University, and now advances to a single elimination competition against Hayden High School in Topeka.
The contest against Hayden is pre-taped and results are not announced until the match is aired on the public broadcasting stations KTWU and KPTS. The contest will be aired (Sunflower Broadband channel in parentheses):
• KTWU 11 (11): 11 a.m. Sunday.
• KTWU Enhance (24): 2 p.m. Sunday and 10:30 a.m. Feb. 20.
• KTWU HD (203): 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Lawrence High team members are Alex Henriquez, Patrick Magnuson, Jake Mather and Carl Peterson, and the team is coached by Ron Callaway.
