Driver whose car rolled into ditch on on U.S. Highway 40 west of Lawrence taken to LMH

A 24-year-old Lawrence woman was taken Tuesday afternoon to Lawrence Memorial Hospital with a possible injury after her vehicle rolled in a ditch on U.S. Highway 40 more than 8 miles west of Lawrence.

According to a Kansas Highway Patrol report, the 1999 Subaru Impreza driven by Emily Isabel Herrman ran off the westbound part of the highway briefly at 2:45 p.m. The car then came back onto the road as she overcorrected the vehicle, and it rolled into the north ditch before coming to rest on its top.

Herrman was wearing her seat belt. Crews on the scene reported she had injuries that appeared to be minor.
