Prosecutors on Monday filed seven criminal charges against Kelly D. Findley, 44, in connection with a car chase through Lawrence early Sunday morning.

Findley was charged with two felonies — fleeing or attempting elude a police officer and obstructing legal process or official duty — and three misdemeanors — DUI, reckless driving and driving while suspended.

The Lawrence man was also charged with driving with defective tail lamps and refusing to take a breath test. Bond in the case was set at $5,000.

Police said the suspect led them on a chase after they tried to stop the car on a routine traffic stop on Vermont Street. The chase eventually ended in North Lawrence in the 700 block of Lake Street.
