Kansas City, Kan., man charged following two-county police chase

A 41-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man is facing several charges in Jefferson County District Court after leading police on a car chase late Monday night.

The man, Eric Bradford, struck patrol cars during the chase, according to police, leading to two felony charges of aggravated battery against a law enforcement officer. He is also charged with felony reckless driving.

Bradford also faces charges of driving under the influence and driving while suspended, in addition to a number of traffic offenses in connection with the chase that began in Jefferson County and ended in Douglas County.

He is being held in the Jefferson County jail, and could face charges in Douglas County District Court after the sheriff’s office completes its investigation of the case.
