Kansas City man indicted for alleged drug crimes in Douglas County

A federal grand jury has indicted a Kansas City, Kan., man for alleged drug crimes in Douglas County.

Marshall R. Wilson, 27, has been charged with two counts of possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine and one count of possession to distribute 50 grams or more of crack cocaine.

According to the indictment, the crimes occurred between July 2007 and January 2008 in Douglas County. The specific location was not described.

The maximum sentence for possession with the intent to distribute more than 50 grams of crack cocaine is life in prison and up to a $4 million fine.

The Lawrence Police Department and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office’s Drug Enforcement Unit investigated the case.
