St. Louis Investigators have seized more than $1 million in counterfeit merchandise and a large sum of cash from a St. Louis home.
Dirk Robinson has been charged with counterfeiting and unlawful possession of a firearm. The 54-year-old was being held in lieu of $150,000 cash-only bond.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports police carted off counterfeit brand-name shoes, clothes, purses and watches, along with DVDs and CDs, during a raid that started Wednesday and ended Thursday afternoon.
Police say the house was known in the area as the place to go for such items. Sgt. Bill Martin said it appears the business had been operating for quite a while.
Federal agents and an investigator who works on behalf of corporations are involved with the case.
