Two Kansas City men arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault

A 20-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man was arrested early Saturday morning on suspicion of aggravated assault, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct and obstructing a legal proceeding stemming from an early morning incident in the 600 block of Gateway Court.

A 20-year-old KU student called police because an individual had assaulted him and caused about $350 in damage at his home on Gateway Court, including destroying or damaging a Rock Band drum set, an entertainment center, a coffee table, the front door, a bedroom door, an interior wall and a lamp. According to police reports, the incident happened between 2:30 a.m. and 2:53 a.m.

The report listed three other victims including a Lawrence woman and two Lawrence men, all KU students. A 19-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man was arrested at the same location on the same charges at the location about 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
