More bones turned up in property search

? Investigators discovered bones and removed three truckloads of trash, weeds and debris as they continued their search Wednesday at the home of kidnapping suspects Phillip and Nancy Garrido and a neighboring property for evidence that would link them to two other child abductions.

Hayward, Calif., police Lt. Christine Orrey said it was unknown whether the bones found Wednesday were human, and that they would require testing.

A human bone fragment found in the neighboring yard Aug. 31 is still undergoing DNA tests. However, Contra Costa County sheriff’s spokesman Jimmy Lee has cautioned it could be Native American in origin, which would not be an unusual find in the county.
