A 30-year-old Lawrence man was arrested Friday evening on charges of rape. Police said the incident occurred just before 10:30 a.m. Friday in the 1700 block of West Fourth Street. The 22-year-old Lawrence woman reported being the victim and said the man was an acquaintance of hers. The man was booked into the Douglas County Jail about 6:30 p.m. Friday.
