Area residents will have an opportunity to support Lawrence’s Sister Cities program at an upcoming fundraiser.

The city’s Sister Cities Advisory Board will host a fundraiser from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 22 at the Castle Tea Room, 13th and Massachusetts streets.

The event will feature appetizers and drinks and will provide attendees an opportunity to see the newly renovated Castle Tea Room.

The fundraiser will benefit the Sister City Scholarship Fund, which helps Lawrence students with costs associated in traveling to Lawrence’s two sister cities: Eutin, Germany, and Hiratsuka, Japan.
