Baldwin City woman injured in Friday afternoon accident

A 31-year-old Baldwin City woman was transported Friday afternoon to Lawrence Memorial Hospital with possible injuries after a two-vehicle accident south of Lawrence.

According to Kansas Highway Patrol crash logs, the accident occurred at 2:27 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 1055 and East 1600 Road, approximately four miles south of Lawrence.

The woman was making a U-Turn with her Ford Crown Victoria when it was hit by a Mazda pickup driven by a 45-year-old Baldwin City man.

The man refused medical attention at the scene. No further details were available on the woman’s condition Friday night. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
