Washington The liberal political organizing group ACORN, battered by the release of embarrassing videos and allegations of financial mismanagement and fraud, has also been losing support from several major foundations.
The Ford Foundation, the Annie E. Casey Foundation, the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, the Marguerite Casey Foundation and Bank of America have all stopped funding the group and its affiliates over the past 1 1/2 years.

Megan Kelley has a special about ACORN on Fox news network this weekend. It was presented on Friday and I presume it will air again sometime on the weekend. She interviewed the 60's radical who founded the welfare rights group in Arkansas and built it into the powerhouse leftist organization that helped get Obama elected (along with other nefarious activities). The program is not an Obama bashing exercise though.

The key reason not to give to the United Way, is you can never be sure where the funds are going.

The United Way does allow you to designate which organization you want your donation to support. A better reason not to give to the United Way is because a significant portion of your donation goes toward adminstrative costs instead of your chosen charity.

it is pretty ignorant to say that acorn elected Obama, the guy who did the most to elect Obama was Bush, the most failed president in History.
And this is hardly news, acorn screwed itself and should dissapear. The difference between me and many of you is that I will say that about corrupt groups, right or left, but you only say that about corrupt groups from the left. That means you folks only have sides, no morals and values.

Sorry - that should be 'administrative'. I need to fire my proofreader.
