Woman treated and released after Wednesday morning rollover accident

A 31-year-old Hutchinson woman was taken to a Topeka hospital Wednesday morning after a single-vehicle rollover accident west of Lawrence.

According to a Kansas Highway Patrol crash log, the woman was driving a Honda Passport westbound on U.S. Highway 40 about eight miles west of Lawrence when she drove onto the north shoulder, overcorrected and drove into the south ditch, rolling the vehicle multiple times.

The woman was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. The accident occurred at 8:28 a.m. The woman was taken to Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka. According to a Stormont-Vail representative, the woman was treated and released from the hospital Wednesday.
