Wichita police: No calls about mystery child

? Wichita police are trying to get more information about a young boy who came into a convenience store alone.

Police said Monday that they have received no calls about the mystery child. The boy is believed to be about 4 or 5 years old.

He walked into a QuikTrip convenience store Saturday night.

Police Sgt. Amy Tracy said the boy said only, “Mom,” when asked if he was lost. QuikTrip employees tried to call the Wichita Children’s Home for help, but the little boy left before workers with that group arrived.

Police want to know if the child is missing or if he somehow made it home.

The boy has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black baggy shirt and gray jeans.
