A Lawrence man suffered nonlife-threatening injuries after he was stabbed at 11:38 p.m. Friday night in the 2400 block of Ousdahl Road.
Lawrence Police Sgt. Michael McLaren said the 22-year-old man was in a verbal argument with a 33-year-old Lawrence woman, with whom he was acquainted.
The woman was armed with a knife, and when the fight turned physical, she cut the man at least twice.
McLaren said the man suffered lacerations to his hand and his hairline. He was then transported by a personal vehicle to Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Officers were dispatched to the hospital at 12:08 a.m. Saturday after hospital officials notified emergency dispatchers of the situation.
Douglas County Jail reports indicated that no arrests had been made in the incident Saturday night.

That is a very real problem that the people of the UK are starting to worry about. Knife crime is a big deal there. There have been politicians suggesting that permits be required for kitchen knives, and that there is no reason for a legitimate knife to have a point.
Outlawing knives isn't something entirely impossible.
