Injury accidents

A 59-year-old Kansas City man was hospitalized after a rollover accident on U.S. Highway 24, about 3.5 miles east of Williamstown, at 7:05 a.m. Tuesday.

Kansas Highway Patrol reports indicate that Vernon R. Jones Jr. was driving a GMC truck and left the roadway on a curve to the right, rolling the vehicle onto its driver side.

Jones was admitted to Lawrence Memorial Hospital and released.

Law enforcement report

A 32-year-old Lawrence man reported his vehicle stolen from his residence on Lake Street, according to a Lawrence Police Department report. The vehicle was described as a 1998 Volkswagen Jetta valued at $3,000.

The theft occurred sometime between 7:30 p.m. Sunday and 5:30 a.m. Monday.
