Two life-flighted after rollover near Perry

Two people were taken Monday afternoon to a Topeka hospital by air ambulance after a two-vehicle rollover crash west of Perry.

Two victims, a 38-year-old Perry woman and a 12-year-old Perry boy, were taken to Stormont-Vail by air ambulance. The woman was in serious condition late Monday at the hospital. The boy’s condition was unavailable.

A 42-year-old Perry man suffered a “possible injury,” but was not transported to the hospital, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol crash log and a Jefferson County Ambulance official. All three of those victims were in the same car.

The accident occurred at 5:21 p.m. at the intersection of Newman and Bridge roads, approximately one mile west of Perry.

A 1998 Ford driven by the Perry woman collided with a 2000 freight truck as the truck was pulling out onto Bridge Road, according to the crash log.

The driver of the truck was not injured.
